It’s too warm for a beanie and too cold for a panama hat…what’s the perfect late winter/early spring hat? I’m really liking this Madewell fedora because it’s not the typical straw hat but it still works with the season. I’m going to keep my eyes open but this is a serious contender. I’m guessing by the time I finally decide what hat I want it will be consistently warm enough for my awesome summer hats…but that’s life!

When I got home from Vegas earlier this week I decided I needed a bit of a blog break — some time to find some inspiration for the old .com and snap out of this funky haze. New York has had absolutely insane weather so I am going to try and use that to snap out of it. I’ll be back in action soon enough.

I’m signing off for the week today because I am leaving for Vegas tomorrow! I can’t wait to get out of the city, spend time with friends and gamble! Have a great rest end of the week and a high rolling weekend!

Why is it that my comfy cozy look, which I always envision in my head looking like this, leaves me looking either more dumpy or way too over done? I absolutely love the effortless yet still put together feel of this look. The real kicker here; not even beanie and a scarf takes away from how chic she looks. Call me crazy, it may just be jeans and a blazer but I am totally craving this look!

In addition to not being the best packer, I always have a really difficult time deciding what to wear on the plane. I like to be comfortable, but I’ve long since outgrown wearing sweats on the airplane. Thanks to Refinery29, my go-to for just about everything, has given me a great idea and I can definitely pull together an outfit like –  suitable for the warm New York and Vegas weather.

I’m off to Vegas next weekend so I need to start thinking about packing now — I am the worst packer in the world (over packing, under packing, the works)! So between packing lists and laundry I think that’s pretty much my weekend in a nutshell. Have an organized weekend!

Obviously the biggest improvement since my switch from Blackberry to iPhone is the number of amazing apps (and the much better camera to go along with some of those apps). One of my favorite being Instagram. I use CameraBag on my computer and love having the same types of features available for pics I snap with my phone. The only thing that could make Instagram better is getting those awesome filtered photos printed…and now you can with Instaprint! Forget wanting it for my next party, I want to have it everywhere, all the time! Check them out on Kickstarter and donate!

Um, yes please! I think this Elizabeth and James dress is amazing. While I have really broad shoulders, thanks to my Grandmother, I still love the way backless dresses look, even if they’re not perfect on me. Paired with a messy side bun, one of the few hair styles I can actually create with little effort, and this is chic to perfection!
