Please…
I don’t care what the weather is like in Sweden right now, and I don’t even care that I have been dying to go to Sweden for years. Send me to this house and I promise I won’t leave for the entire vacation.
How gorgeous are those views and how comfy does that couch pit look?!

Just relaxing in Napa this week — be jealous. The weather has been perfect, we’ve had some amazing meals and obviously the wine is flowing! Be back next week.

The long weekend is within spitting distance now and even though I chose to stay here I am kind of wishing someone would knock on my door with a trip to my dream hotel, the Parker Palm Springs. It’s obvious by now that I love the work of Jonathan Adler (displayed here and here), but more importantly at this point in time I love the idea of sun, consistent sun that is, heat and a big beautiful pool. If I end up disappearing you know where I am!

I woke up wishing I could walk from my bedroom into an airy living room/kitchen where I could make myself a cup of coffee and wander onto a sunlit porch where I could spend the day doing absolutely nothing. It’s partly because I am itching for spring to come, and stay for good, but mostly because I love being outdoors, enjoying the sun and breathing fresh, warm air. Fingers crossed that a change in weather is right around the corner — if not it might be a weekend getaway to some fabulous house on beach!

I’m leaving Chicago this evening after a lovely few days with my best friend. There really is nothing better than seeing someone you love after a long time apart. Plus being in a city as fun and friendly as Chicago never hurts! I should be back in the city in time for Friday night festivities and because I’m on a semi-touristy kick I thought it might be fun to do some New York things that I haven’t done in awhile. Have a great weekend and create a new New York memory.

With kind of rainy day today I think the agenda is for more food (obviously some chicago dogs and maybe a combination of italian beef sandwiches and deep dish pizza). Then I think we will end up doing some more shopping and maybe a rainy day photo shoot at the beach or the park or downtown. Rain can’t ruin a few days with a great friend.

Visiting one of the greatest ladies in the world for a few days in Chicago. Excited for good food, shopping, some gallery hopping and basically a giant love fest! Be back Friday night!

I am starting to feel pangs of seasonal affect, feeling a bit lethargic and blue about the temperature as of late, and the lack of sun. I’ve decided it’s time to start planning a trip. I read somewhere that planning a trip, even if you have no idea when you will be able to go, releases endorphins (and other cool chemicals) into your brain because it’s a bit like problem solving and putting a puzzle together. My first inclination is that it definitely needs sea views and this amazing Cornwall estate, a Beach Studios property, looks PERFECT!

In London. See you next week!
