State of mind

via dogeared
I was introduced to Dogeared Jewelry recently and fell in love with all the cute and whimsical pieces they offer. I am always on the hunt for delicate and stackable necklaces because they are effortless but add just the right amount of flare and funk, especially with low cut tees and tanks in the warmer months. Right now I am debating between the New York and Connecticut State of Mind necklaces. But, which is more important — where I spent 18 years of my life or where I live now and and will be for a very long time?? Maybe I should get them both and stack them!!

Valentine prep

via purl bee
I’m never much of a Valentine’s Day fan but these heart friendship bracelets have me seriously in the mood to celebrate this year. I have been on a kick with making bracelets since getting all my embroidery thread together and easily accessible, so this love inspired jewelry gives me something new to practice perfecting.

Initial thoughts

via huffington post
Thanks to Kim K. I have fallen in love with the initial stud earrings idea and have been searching for a pair I really love. While hers are probably super expensive, I just want something I love and can wear every day for a little change of pace. So far these are my favorites:

Above the arrow
via christinadomanic
I talked about wearing a ring above my knuckle back in August (before I knew it was even a thing!) but I had actually not found the right ring up until yesterday. My friend got my back on track by getting me this awesome small heart band to wear on my ring finger and that got me to looking. I found this arrow ring and I think it’s true love. It’s ajustable, which is good because I don’t know my exact size and I think it’s interesting, chic and down right cool. Pictures to come!

Hermès DIY

Anyone with a pulse, and a love for leather studded with metal hardware (which is everyone, right?), has seen and drooled over the Hermès Collier De Chien cuff and then cried over the $1050 price tag.

Well fret no longer. Now simply download your favorite bracelet and take it home for free. On the Hermès corporate site click on the ‘surprises’ button on the left side menu. Then choose the cuff’s leather design, download, cut and assemble it (no promising that this will be an easy process) and you’re ready to rock your budget friendly cuff du jour!

Struck gold

I’ve been on a mission to find the perfect tiny gold ring and for something so simple it’s been insanely hard to find (why is that always the case?!). That is until I remembered the treasure trove that is etsy.com and found these hammered rings by MARYJOHN. The only other wrench is that I need the ring in a super tiny size — not only do I have tiny fingers but I want to wear the thin ring on my middle finger but just below the knuckle. I think I saw it on someone but I can’t remember…regardless I love the idea (and will probably take credit for it!).

Monogrammed

I was back at home in CT a few weeks ago and went to my favorite little jewelry store in New Caanan, Penny Weights (the selection is enormous and all the prices are insanely low). While we were there my mom found the perfect signet ring, something I’ve been looking for for awhile, and is it getting it engraved as an early Hanukkah present. I can’t wait to see the finished product!
