Making it green

Container Celery
via 17 apart

I have flowers around my apartment all of the time, I try to make a habit of buying some type of flower(s) on the weekend — even if it’s a single peony or a bunch of baby’s breath. Lately though, I have been thinking how nice it would be grow herbs or onions on my windowsills — and then I found out you can easily grow celery inside as well! Sounds like I have a good DIY project to get started on!

In full bloom

I have been holding onto this picture for ages and don’t know why I never shared it. How gorgeous is this green hydrangea cascade table runner?! I have always loved hydrangeas but these green ones are more beautiful than any other color I’ve seen and in such abundance…it’s just amazing! While I have no plans to have an event where I would need such a magnificent centerpiece, now that spring is in full bloom here in New York my beloved hydrangeas will be showcased in my living room in a less spectacular but still beautiful way.

Silver bells

How gorgeous is this silver arrangement? I love how gentle and soft the silver makes the leaves look. I can also pictured it jazzed up with the addition of a few of the same flower in the same color. Either way, it’s a great simplistic look that can be used all year long.

Fresh blooms

Peonies are in season and can be found on every corner in every bodega in the city. I picked up a few a week or so ago and they opened and lasted a lot longer than I thought. I love how delicate the petals and the varied pinks you can find. They bright up the room and make me smile every time I sit down at my computer.
