Pipe dreams

I am crushing hard on these industrial pipe candle holders by Sharingbliss. My apartment is really anything but industrial (although I constantly wish I lived in one of those big old warehouse lofts) but I think these candle holders could be the perfect element to add contrast to my neutral space. Oh and by the way, if you couldn’t tell, I have been trolling Etsy like it’s my job lately…it’s a treasure trove!

You are where you work

When I started freelancing I didn’t make much of an effort to create a workspace at home. In fact at the beginning I couldn’t have been any happier than when I was working from bed in my pjs. But now that work has picked up considerably I’ve decided to start thinking about creating a dedicated workspace at home. Lifehaker workspace is the best for inspiration. I love the crisp white office with branches — they can even hold your earphones!

Teepee party

via little by jenny

I was reading some old posts on google reader and found out that sfgirlbybay went out and actually bought herself a teepee! I LOVE THIS IDEA! I may not have a backyard, and I certainly don’t have high enough ceilings in my apartment, but the idea of creating an adult-sized hideaway for a quiet escape or special occasion makes me smile and feel inspired! Here are some other great teepee pictures (here, here and here).

Crossing state lines

During one of many trips to Etsy.com, I came across these incredible state pillows and I am really tempted to buy one for every state I’ve lived in. Imagine how cute they would look thrown on my bed with my very simple pintuck duvet and pillows!
