I have been lusting over bags lately and finally narrowed in on my summer lust, the Mullberry Piccadilly leather weekend bag. It’s oversized in the all the right ways, can easily stow my laptop and iPad for busy work days and is the perfect size for weekends getaways (which I am known to over pack for). Plus, the oak leather looks rich enough to eat!
I have a new project that requires me to bring my laptop with around with me. While I used to just throw it in a big tote I love the idea of my laptop as an accessory instead of an item to stow away. This French and English Confectionier’s patent buckled case is gorgeous and the neutral colors mean I could bring it with me wherever I go!
If I could be sponsored by one item it would be the Vera Bradley Curling Iron Cover — hands down! I have had the same one (in the classic and retired ‘americana red’) since my junior year of college and I can’t part with it. I bought it at Crabtree & Evelyn and when they stopped selling them, and it seemed that Vera Bradley had stopped making them, I agreed to hold on to mine no matter how worn and torn it was. Low and behold they are once again available and I intend to purchase at least one…and maybe and extra for good measure!
I’ve been a fan of Dream Collective and their hippy inspired jewelry for some time. The pieces look effortless; perfect for a girl who wears very little jewelry on a daily basis. I spotted this armful of bracelet of Ascot Friday (which will one day be my pregnant style go-to) and have been waiting until summer to recreate it vintage t and all! Clearly there is a pattern emerging that this summer I will miraculously metamorphosize into a bohemian goddess in the urban jungle!
The fabulous Geri Hirsch did an amazing DIY video on three different ways to tie a silk scarf. Surprisingly enough they are as easy as they look and are as eye catching and boho cool as Geri models them. Add this to my list of things I will definitely be trying this weekend.
Everyone who knows me knows just how much I love London so it’s not surprising that I wistfully watched the wedding last Friday wishing that I could be there. Luckily I was able to live vicariously through my fashion mentor, and favorite college professor from when I studied in abroad, Mr. Leonard Wiltshire. Above are some hand designed fascinators for guests to wear at the garden soiree he attended! Aren’t they amazing? I love British high fashion!
My favorite big ass Swatch died and while I could easily go and get a new battery, I clearly let me mind wander to purchasing a new time piece. When I was in Chicago my friend Stacy introduced me to La Mer watches and think they’re amazing! I have tiny wrists so I have issues finding watches that fit (they took all the links they could from my Swatch and it was still big). These wrap watches are a great solution because I imagine if it ends up being a bit big it could hang like a bracelet and still look great. What’s the next holiday with gifts?
