This case is awesome (albeit a bit clunky and definitely not back pocket friendly) but if all it takes for awesome holga-esque photos is this case I’m in! While I think the camera lens innovations for the iphone are amazing, I usually feel like I can find an app to give me the effect a lens would give, but this might be too cool to pass up!

I am so excited for the start of the Olympics tonight (albeit incredibly bummed I can’t be in London to experience it). But to get over my blues, I have big plans to watch the opening ceremony tonight while eating fish and chips and drinking Magners cider! Have a glorious weekend!

I feel similarly about this Silence & Noise dress as I do monokinis. I love it and I think the cut outs are sexy and chic but there are very few people in this world that feel comfortable not only showing off but flaunting their love handle area, and I certainly not one of them. That doesn’t however mean I don’t really love this dress and think it might still be worth a try!

If I were to walk into my parents house today, look in the low, left cabinet in family room wall unit I am pretty sure I would still find my boxes of perfectly organized embroidery thread from back in the day when friendship bracelets were the thing! Now I see them popping up all over the place, and this awesome DIY which I could definitely use as a refresher course, and I really want to try and make some again!

I have been thinking about change the 50′s/60′s parquet floors in my apartment for quiet awhile. I have considered just about everything from cork flooring to cement tiles but always come back to wood and think I have finally decided what I want. Knowing my feelings strong about honey and cherry woods (I dislike them immensely), I’ve decided to go with something weathered, pickled, grayed-out or whatever it’s called. I think they wear well, they are timeless and while they are a statement, when covered with a rug (I have 2 in my apartment that I love) the floors will just kind of disappear and play a supporting role.

I am still in a fair amount of pain so I couldn’t be happier it’s Friday and I will have the weekend to tend to my back, lay on the floor and catch up on some reading. My hope is that I will be feeling as good as new on Monday even though I will be a little bummed about not getting a chance to go out and do anything fun over the weekend. Have a chill weekend!

I am a self proclaimed Anglophile but this has nothing to do with London other than it being the home of the Olympics this year. I am a nut when it comes to the Olympics (here and here), even though I prefer the winter games, and while if I don’t have a ton of national pride I love these Gap t-shirts (that I originally found on R29) to show my support of the games!

I have had a bad back for years, thanks to two bulging disks, and every so often my back will start to act up and hurt so much that I have to be flat on my back with my legs up…for days. And that’s exactly what I have been doing since Saturday evening. I’ve set up a productive floor bed for myself with all the things I need including my laptop, charger, phone, meds and a heating pad and then it’s just a mater of waiting it out. Fingers crossed I can get myself up and back in action tomorrow!

There’s nothing I love more than eating outside! Without a doubt it’s my favorite part about warmer weather. So the plan this weekend is to get in some outdoor eating time outside of the city (grass!!) but I also want to try and find some of NYC’s hidden outdoor dining treasures. I have been hearing about some amazing places for years and I just haven’t ventured to try them out. Have a lovely weekend!
