Russian Navy by OPI is one of my favorite fall/winter colors. It’s a beautiful indigo color with a pretty sheen. But I think I like the matte version even more. There’s something about it that changes the whole look of having nail polish on.

Here’s the problem though, I brought it to the salon to get my nails done and explained that I didn’t want a top coat (the lacquer in the top coat would make the Russian Navy no longer matte) but they didn’t listen. I think from now on I will have to do matte manicures myself.

I think mornings after a long night of no sleep, or a long night of tossing and turning and falling in and out of sleep, are all about getting back in the swing of things. Some mornings it takes looking in the mirror and staying there until I’ve convince myself that today could be the day I take over the world!

It makes conquering a sleepless night a whole lot easier!

I love voluminous shorts for the summer. They toe the line between skirt and short and they are usually more comfortable than tight, denim shorts.

But now I am officially straddling the line…..

I purchased my first skort since the age of 5 and I really love it. Not only are the shorts loose and airy, but the skirt overlay dressed up the whole look and makes sitting out in the park on a blanket a little more ladylike!
