Cashmere owls!

A wise old owl lived in an oak
The more he saw the less he spoke
The less he spoke the more he heard
Why can’t we all be like this wise old bird?

My dear friend, and Chinese grandma, Connie Lui, and her friends Ling and Emily Chen, are setting the accessory market ablaze with their new line of hand designed over sized cashmere scarves. They are all beautiful pieces of art and I couldn’t be more proud of them.

To find out more about ‘We Are Owls’ check out their website. And here are a few great publicity pieces that they have gotten so far (here and here). I am so proud of them and so excited to see the spring line!

Rain rain go away

piggy

It’s raining in New York and I don’t know about you but I am not happy about dragging my rain boots out and trying to find a suitable outfit to go with knee high rubber boots!

But if April showers bring May flowers, do May showers bring June super powers?! (Sorry, not a ton rhymes with flowers and showers!)

Et tu brute?

littlebrvtvs_bracelet_mint01

I have never considered myself lucky, in fact I think I have bad luck most of the time — I never win anything and I am extraordinarily clumsy. But this year for my birthday my luck changed when Caroline Ventura gave me a special little gift out of the blue (or mint in this case!).

Since that faithful day in January I have been wearing this beauty along with my other bracelet that I never take off (a simple silver cuff that my dad bought me when I was 7). I love the delicate chain and silk thread and, even though it is really simple, I think it screams Caroline’s style, which I am forever envious of.

Here’s where you can check out more BRVTVS goodies.

Knock, knock

door knocker

I haven’t written in awhile and I am starting to feel really guilty. And even though I had a few free seconds to write this post, I still don’t have the time to write a proper apology and give some explanation for my absence. In the meantime I will share with you my newest love, the awesome Door Knocker necklace from F21.

I know it’s a little ridiculous, and I haven’t had the balls to wear it yet, but when I saw it I totally fell in love and think it can add a touch of funk on the days that my outfits are lacking.

I pledge to write about things this weekend and get back on top of this here blog!
