I’m heading out of town for a little to get some rest and relaxation — trying to get everything to feel more in line. I won’t be posting much during the week but I’ll be back in a week with a renewed spirit and hopefully some great pictures and stories!
Out of the blue my mom and I decided to head to Sedona to get away and look at we discovered:
For whatever reason, Sedona is a very beautiful and spiritual place. The Native Americans were drawn to it and considered the area sacred. It is an ideal place to go for a getaway for fun, for renewal or for spiritual exploration. No matter what your beliefs about vortexes or how you choose to classify them, there remains a few mysteries in Sedona that have not been adequately explained. Go to the Red Rocks with an open mind and and open heart.

vortex awesomeness!
I have a full fledged obsession with Shaun White. I am absolutely, positively in love with him and so excited to see him ride tonight for the gold! In support of my darling Shaun (yes we are on a first name basis) I wanted to share this awesome site from
Red Bull about how he prepared for the Olympics. Make sure to watch the
halfpipe video!

With the on-again-off-again rain/snow/sleet/ice of the past few weeks, the footwear decision has become increasingly tricky. I admit I have Uggs, and on occasion still wear them to run across the street to Duane Reade or the corner store, but NEVER would I wear them out as the finishing touch to my outfit. They are as ugly as they are comfortable — they are not at all suitable for the workplace, or really any place off a college campus. Instead of going for the fuzzy, odd colored, poorly weathered, shearlings, I believe any of the choices above are suitable and fashionable alternatives to keep your tootsies warm. I have been wearing a combination of my red lace up hunter boots and my JCrew Bromley Duck boots (mine are green/cream herringbone).

Just a reminder: If you are interested in trying Reiki please let me know. I would love to set up some appointments and share as much as possible about this powerful universal life energy!

It’s snowing. Like, a lot! Go out and play!

New York City schools are already canceled for tomorrow and forecasters are estimating anywhere from 8-13 inches falling on the city. But, the big question is…will it actually happen this time? This weekend’s blizzard was a total bust, and I don’t know if I should get my hopes up for snow angels or not!? STAY WARM!
