The search for the perfect white tank seems to be harder than almost any other fashion related search. This summer I am determined to find a white tank that is light, loose without being too baggy, timeless and I vow to keep it clean and pristine with bleach!

jill gg’s good life (for less)
I have my quick San Francisco trip coming up in about 2 weeks and I am starting to get really excited. The next order of business, since I have my tickets and I’m staying with a friend, is what to pack. Thankfully I found Jill GG’s good life (for less) and there are some great ideas on the ‘Cali Quickie’ and ‘California’ lists, which I think I will mix and match to be prepared for the less than predictable SF weather but hopefully a nice spring weekend!

Here I’m referencing both the washing machine cycle as well as my beloved cycling (spin). I have a new obsession and I am dying to go try it out and report back on how absolutely amazing, or horrendously horrible, it ends up being. Aqua is a spa-like cycling studio with a twist — the bikes are in a pool so classes have the added resistance of being in a 4ft deep pool. It sounds like a blast which will be easy on my back but still a butt kicking workout. If only it weren’t in Tribeca! I bought a Speedo this weekend so I’m ready to try my first class!

I’m excited to relax this weekend, work on my urban garden and enjoy some more hopefully beautiful spring weather. Here’s to bright and sunny weekend!

I have flowers around my apartment all of the time, I try to make a habit of buying some type of flower(s) on the weekend — even if it’s a single peony or a bunch of baby’s breath. Lately though, I have been thinking how nice it would be grow herbs or onions on my windowsills — and then I found out you can easily grow celery inside as well! Sounds like I have a good DIY project to get started on!

It will eventually be spring and then summer in the city, for more than 2 days at a time, and when that finally happens I want to be prepared with a new pair of fresh white sneaks. Now the only issue is deciding which I like best!

I have been lusting over the big bid necklaces on display at places like J.Crew and Zara lately. I think they are gorgeous and surprisingly easy to wear with jeans and a tee and some sneakers. These are my three favorites right now.

Spring is upon us and hopefully summer is right around the corner which means it’s time to stock up on chunky heeled sandals for work and for play. This round up shows some of the colors and textures I am hoping to find to make the seamless transition from work to evening outdoor cocktails.

I am extremely happy it’s Friday. Extremely!! This week trudged along and it’s finally time to enjoy the sun, sleep in, snuggle up in my new bed and take it easy. There really is not much that makes me happier than waking up leisurely on a weekend with the sun streaming in my room and being able to either get up and start my day or doze back to sleep! To a restful weekend!

I was introduced to Dogeared Jewelry recently and fell in love with all the cute and whimsical pieces they offer. I am always on the hunt for delicate and stackable necklaces because they are effortless but add just the right amount of flare and funk, especially with low cut tees and tanks in the warmer months. Right now I am debating between the New York and Connecticut State of Mind necklaces. But, which is more important — where I spent 18 years of my life or where I live now and and will be for a very long time?? Maybe I should get them both and stack them!!
